Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ):
What is RTT® and how is it different from traditional therapy?
RTT® (Rapid Transformational Therapy) is a powerful hybrid method created by world-renowned and multi-award winning therapist Marisa Peer. It combines the most effective principles of Hypnotherapy, Psychotherapy, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and principles of neuroplasticity to access, understand and rewire subconscious beliefs.
The techniques and tools of RTT® allow us to go directly to the root cause and begin creating change at the level where your patterns actually live: your subconscious mind.
Is hypnosis “woo-woo” or spiritual magic?
No. Hypnosis isn’t magic and it isn’t about losing control.
Hypnosis is a naturally occurring state of focused attention and deep relaxation. You may already have experienced something similar when becoming absorbed in a familiar journey while your mind was elsewhere.
In hypnotherapy, this focused state is intentionally guided so that you can turn your attention inward and explore your thoughts, beliefs, memories and patterns in a different way.
You remain aware and involved throughout the process.
Additionally, hypnosis is grounded in biology. Hypnosis is a neurologically distinct state where your brainwaves shift into Alpha and Theta frequencies—the same states we naturally enter during deep daydreaming or right before sleep. While the experience can feel spiritual and revelatory, and it is in fact deeply revelatory and self-empowering, it is technically an evidence-based tool used to bypass the critical conscious mind and access the subconscious mind.
What does hypnotherapy feel like?
Everyone experiences hypnosis differently, but many women describe it as deeply relaxing, focused and inwardly absorbing.
It can be similar to the feeling of becoming absorbed in a book or film, or allowing your mind to wander while remaining aware of what is happening around you.
Some women notice physical relaxation, a sense of time passing differently, vivid memories or imagery, while others simply feel very calm and focused. There is no “right” way to experience hypnosis.
You’re not unconscious or under control.
You remain aware throughout the session, fully in the driver’s seat, and can communicate, remember everything, and pause during the session at any point if you decide to.
Will I lose control during hypnosis?
No. Hypnotherapy is nothing like stage hypnosis.
You do not lose your free will or become unconscious during hypnosis. You remain aware, can communicate, and can choose to pause or stop the process at any time.
My role is to guide you through the process and you also remain an active participant in the session. The work happens collaboratively between us.
Hypnosis allows you to access your subconscious mind and regain control over yourself and your life and therefore re-empower yourself for an incredible transformation in your daily life.
Do I have to believe in hypnosis for it to work?
No.
You don’t need to have previous experience with hypnosis or hold any particular belief about it.
What matters most is your willingness to be curious, follow my guidance and allow yourself to become relaxed and focused.
If you’re interested but still unsure, that’s completely fine. Your free discovery call is to ask questions and decide whether RTT® feels right for you before committing to a session.
How does RTT® work with neuroplasticity and “rewiring”?
Neuroplasticity refers to the brain’s ability to change and adapt throughout life. RTT® incorporates principles of neuroplasticity into its approach to changing established patterns of thinking and behaviour.
Within the RTT® methodology, we uncover how beliefs, emotional responses and behaviours have been formed and reinforced. Once these patterns are understood, the process focuses on reframing unhelpful beliefs and creating more supportive ways of thinking and responding.
This is often described within RTT® as “rewiring” the mind — moving away from familiar patterns that no longer serve you and reinforcing new, more beneficial ones.
By identifying root-cause traumas and limiting beliefs, we can weaken old, negative, harmful neural pathways and create and strengthen new, positive, healthy neural pathways. Your brain isn’t a hard piece of stone; it’s more like a muscle. When you go to the gym and work out a specific muscle, it grows stronger and adapts to the type and consistency of exercise you do. Your brain follows the same principle when it comes to weakening and strengthening your thoughts and behaviours. Once the root-cause has been identified, understood and reframed, your practice is the next key part of the successful transformation process.
Your fully customised recording, created specifically for you after your private session, is used during the integration period of your transformation to reinforce the work done during your session. That is why it is important that you are committed to listening to your personalised recording for a minimum of 21 consecutive days, twice a day.
What does RTT® mean by “root cause”?
Within RTT®, “root cause” refers to exploring the earlier experiences, beliefs and interpretations that have contributed to a pattern you are experiencing today.
Sometimes a belief can be formed during early adulthood, adolescence, childhood, even before you were born or through a particular significant experience in your life and and that belief can continue influencing how you see yourself, relationships or situations later in your life — often without you consciously realising the connection.
During an RTT® session, we explore these experiences and the meanings you attached to them, then work from your adult perspective to reframe what is no longer serving you.
The purpose isn’t simply to revisit the past. It is to understand it differently so that you can create a different relationship with the present and the future.

How do I know if RTT® is right for me?
RTT® is a structured therapeutic methodology that works with the mind, beliefs and patterns that are influencing how you experience your life today. It is not intended to replace medical care, psychiatric treatment or emergency mental-health support.
There are certain conditions and circumstances for which RTT® may not be appropriate. As part of my professional practice, I follow the appropriate screening and scope-of-practice guidelines from my training and carefully consider whether RTT® is suitable for you before beginning a session.
If you’re unsure whether RTT® is appropriate for what you’d like to explore, you’re welcome to discuss your circumstances with me during your free discovery call.
How many RTT® sessions will I need?
The number of sessions varies from woman to woman and depends on what you would like to work on.
RTT® is designed as a focused, solution-oriented approach, and some women experience meaningful shifts after just one session. Others choose to have additional sessions when they want to work on another area or a longer standing issue or continue their personal work.
There is no fixed number of sessions that applies to everyone and we can discuss what would be appropriate for you during your free discovery call so you have full clarity on process, options, investment, and time frames.
Do you work online or only in-person?
Both.
I see clients in-person in Madrid and work with women worldwide online via Zoom too.
The session follows the same personalised structure whether we meet in person or online, and you remain guided and supported throughout the process.
If you’re unsure whether an online session is right for you, we can discuss this during your free discovery call.
Online sessions are as effective as in-person — hypnotherapy works beautifully and powerfully through a screen too.
What happens after my session?
Your session doesn’t simply end when our conversation does.
Following your private session, I create specifically for you, and send you in your preferred way, a fully personalised hypnotherapy recording based on the themes, intentions and work we did together.
You’ll use this recording regularly over the following 21 days as part of your integration of the work. I recommend listening twice a day, or at least once a day, with the option to listen more frequently if that is feasible for you.
We’ll also have a follow-up call approximately one week after your private session to reflect on your experience, to check how you’re integrating and to discuss your progress with the transformation as well as next steps depending on your needs and goals.
The Philosophy Behind PhiMind
PhiMind is inspired by the idea that transformation is part of the natural rhythm of life. The golden ratio and Fibonacci spiral — patterns found throughout nature, from shells and flowers to the unfolding forms of the universe — have long been associated with harmony, growth and evolution. At PhiMind, this becomes a metaphor for the human mind: continuously capable of unfolding, adapting and changing.
RTT® (Rapid Transformational Therapy) is the therapeutic methodology I use to bring this philosophy into practice. Developed by internationally recognised therapist Marisa Peer, RTT® draws on more than three decades of experience in therapy, hypnotherapy and personal transformation.
Marisa Peer’s work and RTT® have received extensive international recognition across the therapy, wellness and business communities, including multiple Stevie Awards, Global Woman Awards and other international honours. Her work has also been featured on platforms including NBC’s Today Show, Sky News and TEDx, while the RTT® School has received CPD accreditation as a training provider.
I trained and qualified as an RTT® practitioner through the RTT® School, bringing this established methodology into my own practice through PhiMind, where I work specifically with women in Madrid and worldwide online. I am committed to helping women uncover and understand the beliefs, patterns and experiences that are influencing how they navigate their lives today as well as helping them restructure those patterns and achieve their desired transformations while working with their powerful subconscious mind.

How do I book?
The first step is a free discovery call.
We’ll talk about what’s going on for you, what you’d like to work on, I’ll answer any questions you may have, and we’ll see whether working together feels like a good fit.
There is no obligation to book a session afterwards.
If we both feel RTT® is appropriate for you, we’ll arrange your private session. I can also share about upcoming events if you’d like to experience a lighter version of RTT® in a group with other women.
